Cristian was born in Venezuela and started working for Hart2Hart Inc. in November 2021. He can distinctly remember being hired by Suzette on that day in November at the 26th Street location in Sioux Falls. He was hired on as a part time crew person, not speaking any English at all. It was difficult for Cristian to express himself very well with others, but despite everything, he always gave his best and helped everyone. Even if he had to speak through signs.
Cristian became full time in January 2022 and was promoted to a member of the leadership team at 26th Street in October 2022. Cristian credits Tiffany Menzia with “taking a risk” and promoting him even though his English, at the time, was limited. Cristian has always been willing to help when needed. He’s helped so many McDonald’s restaurants around the Sioux Empire area that you may have come across him a time or two in the past.
Cristian’s dedication and hard work led to continued promotions for him, up to the current role of General Manager. He lives by the saying, “always do things well and from your heart.” That has clearly paid off, because after 3 years of living by those words, he’s the GM of our 85th Street location in Sioux Falls!
Cristian would like to thank everyone in our company that has helped him on his journey to becoming GM, especially Suzette, Felicia, Tiffany, Janet, and Julie. While he certainly has a strong support team at work, he does personally too.
He credits his girlfriend (partner for life) with supporting him in every step that he takes. Together they enjoy going on trips, having adventures, and doing family activities. It has been 3 years since Cristian has seen his mother, but now when he sees her again, he’s going to have quite the stories to tell!
Cristian’s favorite part of working at McDonald’s is that no day is the same and there are always new things to learn. He likes working alongside his team and learning from them, while at the same time, they learn from him.
Cristian says, “thank you to Jordan and the entire Hart2Hart Inc leadership team for giving me this opportunity and trusting me in this position. I am very happy with this opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. I have a long road ahead but I am always learning. I know that when we make mistakes, we learn from them. The sky is the limit.”
