My Name is Nohemy Orellana. I’m originally from a very small poor country called Honduras. When I came to the United States I was only 14 years old. I didn’t know not one word of English, and I went to a school where I found out that me and my brother where the first Hispanics there, but in 3 months I learned how to read, write, and speak English. I have 4 beautiful kids; 3 daughters and a son. My oldest daughter Natasha is also a shift manager, and now my 17 year old Litzy works for McDonald’s as well.
I had many different jobs in my time before coming to Hart2Hart. My brother used to work at McDonald’s in Pipestone, MN and I used to see him come home to crash out on the couch. I used to tell him I couldn’t understand why he was so tired if all he did was flip burgers. I started working for McDonald’s on April 2018 in Luverne, MN, about 3-4 months of being there my GM Danielle offered me a Manager role, but I was scare because I didn’t know the job well. Then I was told to come help in Brandon, SD. After a while, I got transferred to Brandon, and been here almost 6 years. I have learned the value of what is like to work for a company that is so much more than just flipping burgers.
After 2 to 3 years I got offered LDM (Lead Department Manager), and I had seen GMs come and go so I didn’t learn much with them, not until Suzette, my GM, was transferred here to Brandon. She has thought me everything I didn’t know, and Amy, also thought me a lot as my Area Supervisor. At first, I didn’t know how valuable McDonald’s was. I appreciate all my coworkers and all of the awesome jobs that they do to help. But all of this wouldn’t be with Suzette. Thanks to Suzette, who came to rescue us from everything. I just wanna say thank you for helping me grow and believing in me, and teaching me how important our customers are. All I can say is, I am so happy to work for Hart2Hart McDonald’s. To our owner operator, Jordan, thank you for everything. I will surely use everything that I know and learn to continue getting better.
