McDonald’s was my first job at the age of 15. I worked for an Owner/Operator in California while I was in high school and after a few weeks, I knew I wanted to be with McDonald’s for my career. There I got my first promotion to Crew Trainer before graduating and moving to Iowa for college. In my time at college, I began working at the local McDonald’s in Sioux Center, IA as a crew member. After graduation, I worked through all management ranks and in a short time became the General Manager at the age of 22. I was fortunate to work in 3 more of our locations before receiving the opportunity to become the Operations Technology Professional and Deployment person for Hart 2 Hart.
I am blessed to work with all of our locations in many ways! I help to over see the technology in our stores from new installations to ensuring things are running as they should. I also do a lot of creative for our organization which is stuff like posters, flyers, and other design projects. I also help to communicate dates for new products and I lead some training for individual stores or groups. My favorite part of my job is getting to grow people and teach them new things.
I pride myself on knowing where to find answers to anyone’s questions and love to teach people about the amazing resources McDonald’s has. My job has given me so many new skills and has grown the ones I already had. I hope more people see McDonald’s as a career opportunity! McDonald’s allows me to travel, work with a variety of people, grow myself professionally and personally, and the best part is knowing I work for the greatest Brand in the world!
Fun Fact: My first tattoo was the McDonald’s Arches on my right ankle!
